Protein Factory is involved in the production and purification of the Cas12 and Cas13 proteins for CRISPR/CAS assays, which, in combination with QPCR or isothermal nucleic acid amplification (LAMP or RPA technologies) allows rapid detection of the SARS-COV-2 virus. All the enzymes required for this assay are currently expressed and supplied with high degree of purity for the Covid task force. Our partner Robotein® is performing HT screening aiming at optimal formulation of Cas12.
